Cristo Rey San Diego Catholic High School opened in the fall of 2020, on the campus of the former Saint Jude Academy. Cristo Rey San Diego (CRSD) is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a national network of high-performing and innovative high schools.

Cristo Rey San Diego is not only a Catholic and college preparatory school but is also affordable. CRSD exclusively accepts students from families earning low to moderate incomes. Each student will work five days per month at a real job, earning the majority of their tuition while gaining valuable real-world experience. Corporate partners include CBRE, Sheppard Mullin, Rady Children’s Hospital, the University of San Diego, and more.

100% of Cristo Rey graduates are accepted to college.

Very Rev. Edmundo Zarate, Pastor of Saint Jude Shrine of the West has been involved since the launch of CRSD and is a member of the Board of Directors of the school.
